Well done to all of our Club Championship winners and competitors today on what has been a great Club Championship. Tina Fethon took the Ladies gross prize with a score of 172. Ryan Gray won the Men’s prize with scores of 68, 68 for a total of 136 (-4).
We have only gone and done it! Driffield Golf Club has clinched victory once again, retaining the prestigious Shouler Cup with a remarkable 13-shot swing over Malton today! What an incredible team effort – congratulations to the team of golfers who played through the year who made this win possible!
Team Driffield clinched victory in the Civic Cup, facing off against tough competitors from Bridlington and Flamborough. With the competition held right here at Driffield, our team enjoyed a fantastic home advantage which undoubtedly contributed to our triumph. Well done to all the players
Another win for our own Paul Lockwood in the Hornsea Pro Am. A very impressive score of 65 (-7) saw him win the pro’s competition by two shots. His team also won the overall team prize with a score of 127 (-17)
Congratulations to our pro Paul Lockwood for his outstanding performance at the East Riding Open held at Hornsea on the 16 July. In a highly competitive field of 64 participants, the event proved to be a true challenge with the high winds creating difficult playing conditions. Paul emerged as the leading professional, securing the professionals prize with a total of 142 (-2) over the 36 holes.

Well done to Driffield Golf Club member Ryan Wardle who won the Male Division of the Trilby Tour today held at Kilnwick Percy Golf Club. He will now go on to play the final at Dundonald Ayrshire.
East Riding Union took over at the top of the 2023 YIDU standings with a win over Leeds Union after a day of drama at Driffield. The East Riding Team clinched a 4 point victory over apponents Leeds.
East Riding provided the following thanks to the club: - 'Thanks as always to starter Andy Pittaway for his long stints on the first tee and to host club Driffield for presenting the course in superb condition and looking after both sides on a busy day in the clubhouse.'
Congratulations to Driffield Golf Club member Ryan Gray who has won the East Riding Amateur Championship at Cave Castle Golf Club. With scores of 72 (E) and 76 (+4), Ryan eventually won in a 3 hole playoff.
